Embracing the July Hustle: Finding Balance in a Busy Month
Ah, July – the month that feels like a whirlwind of activities, responsibilities, and moments of rest are far in between. Staying motivated is challenging when the sky is grey and rain is pouring down all day. A warm bed, comfy PJs, and everything you need within arm’s reach make it tempting to stay put. Yet, just like how the best ideas often come in the shower, the cozy space of your bed can also be a sanctuary for receiving downloads and allowing your mind to switch off.
As life gets busier, we sometimes miss the simple pleasure of doing nothing. Even when we stay in bed all day, we regularly multitask – handling homework, cooking, writing posts, running a business, or managing other tasks. It can feel like there’s no real break, even when we try to rest.
July has already been a whirlwind, and it will only get busier. With this chaos, we must learn to prioritise what I call “My Time” – moments dedicated solely to ourselves. Whether it’s a few hours a week or an entire day, this time is crucial for maintaining a balance between rest and hard work.
This month, we’ll focus on brainstorming and finding ways to incorporate both rest and productivity into our schedules. Switching off when deadlines loom is challenging, but listening to our bodies is essential. Taking time off, practising self-love, and allowing ourselves to do nothing can prevent burnout and illness.
While we juggle our busy schedules, Spirit has been sending us amazing gifts and rewards big or small, and you may be feeling that you’re in an illusion that may seem unbelievable. Please pinch yourself and sorry to break your bubble, but it is your time, and you are deserving of everything that is coming your way, so be prepared. You may have worked tirelessly to manifest something significant in your life, and after years of healing and growth, it feels like everything is finally falling into place. This is your time to shine, so enjoy the fruits of your labour, and celebrate your faith in yourself and the universe.
However, at the same time, you are worried about the natural future, you’re wondering if this happiness will last or if it will be taken away. Such thoughts can lead to self-sabotage, and we haven’t truly given our new reality a chance. It’s time to ask ourselves why these thoughts arise, understand their origins, and work to change them into positive affirmations.
Don’t let your ego’s loud voice distract you from receiving your beautiful gifts. Be present, celebrate your victories, and recognise the strength it took to create a life filled with love and flow. Tell yourself in the mirror: “You are beautiful, you are amazing, look how far you have come, I am strong, I am powerful, I can achieve anything I put my mind to.” Repeat these affirmations multiple times a day until you feel them in your heart.
