October Blog
Hello beautiful souls, I just had to stop for a minute and realise it’s only 3 months away till we enter a new year, OMG!! So let’s enjoy what we have left of this amazing year. We’ve had great times, with lots of progress with our growth this year. We have wakened up to many disturbing but not surprising global events, and we are closer to the end of time. By letting go completely of our old selves and stepping into our full new selves, we have patiently and painfully been healing for this very reason for the last 4 years. But don’t let that change your path you have trusted to heal from within and by doing this you have chosen your path of ascension. You have decided the path of healing in the light by going through any shadow work that has been thrown your way, with your head up high. You have shined your light bright, no matter how many times you have been tested. Give yourself a massive hug and be proud of yourself, however this month we are asked to face a big one, our addictions 😱
In October, we will be faced and tested when it comes to addictions. We all have that 1 addiction that does not serve us anymore. We may have a pattern we keep playing out, it can be a physical addiction like drinking too much coffee or energy drinks, smoking and drinking, and eating too much. You could have a habit of biting your nails or binge-watching too much TV. Whatever your addiction, maybe, it is time to have a good look at yourself and know it is time to stop as it does not serve you anymore.
Firstly we need to admit that we have an addiction, by doing this we are being honest with ourselves, and acknowledging we have an addiction that is not serving our spirit or our body. Just by acknowledging the addiction is a big step. It’s great to know that there is something in your life that is holding you back, that may be costing you lots of money, it may be isolating you, ask yourself what emotion is the addiction covering. What is the addiction feeding? Now is the time to take a hard look at this addiction and see if it still serves you or if are you over the same cycle repeating itself.
Once we have established the addiction, it is time to look at what the addiction is covering and why. This is the time to look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if this addiction still serves you the same way, is this addiction adding value to your life?, and how is this addiction helping your growth? Facing your fears and questioning is a great way to acknowledge you have a problem and test if your addiction is still having a worthy place in your life. This will be different for everyone, so remember to be as honest with yourself, and tell yourself that life will not end if you don’t hold onto this addiction. Ask yourself why you need the addiction so badly. If you can’t be honest and resist, then it is not time for you to heal and that’s ok too. However, if you are ready, be honest and tell yourself it will be hard, it will get ugly but always stay true to yourself by being kind towards yourself, heaps of self-love, and having a good support team. Have a great safe space where you can go through all the emotions and pain that come with withdrawal. Stay strong through the withdrawals, and seek help if needed.
Just keep telling yourself that you’ve got this, you are powerful. And you are amazing for having the guts to quit an addiction and have the knowing that this is all part of your healing, to improve your physical and mental health. However, this is the best part of healing, facing truths, feeling pain, and grieving the suffering. It will be hard for the first few weeks to a month. Make sure you cry, yell, feel the feelings, and no matter how many times you want to give up. Please do not give up this is where you will be tested and find your strength, you will discover a new level of yourself that was hiding behind the addiction, which you will look forward to getting to know.
After a month you will see the difference and start to feel a new self is forming. By placing boundaries for yourself and with the outside world and having the strength to say no to going back to the old self, you have a whole new world now to discover. You will find the motivation to put the energy that you have into yourself, instead of being wasted on the addiction. Put that energy into other areas of your life that you have been wanting to improve, like relationships. Start going to the gym, change your diet for mental health and clarity for new ideas, start a new project, or finally build up that business. You will attract and manifest as your energy is free to receive. There are so many possibilities that can come from moving on from the old pattern of self-sabotage from an addiction to thriving on a new path, a new direction that can bring you back to joy and happiness.
I know when I stopped drinking and doing drugs that my life changed for the better. Who knew I would still be alive after my overdose, living in my purpose and looking forward to what’s in store for me moving forward? It was not easy, it hurt a lot and I lost a lot, but I have also gained a lot and have an amazing life overall. I still have heaps to learn and feel and grieve over, but I know my life and health are better for it. I will be doing this challenge with you, I still have the habit of smoking, I quit last year after about 9 months, unfortunately, life was hitting me too hard so I went back to smoking about 6 months ago. However, I can feel it in my bones and my heart that it is time to let it go again and face my fears, so wish me luck guys, as I will be wishing you luck all the way!! We’ve got this, we can do it 💪
